Your data

Privacy policy

Who processes your data on hiki.com.co, what for, who it is shared with, including the artificial intelligence provider, and how to ask us to correct or delete it.

Version 1, in force since October 20, 2026. Governed by Colombian law (Law 1581 of 2012).

01 Who is responsible

LEX LEARNING EXPERIENCE S.A.S., which operates the HIKI brand. Tax ID (NIT) 901.592.613-2. Registered in Cali, Valle del Cauca, Colombia: Calle 38N # 6N-45, Hall Empresarial, office 608.

For anything about your data: [email protected] or +57 300 204 0487.

02 What data we collect

If you start for free or ask us to let you know: your name, your email and where you came from (the campaign, the piece and, if someone invited you, their code).

If you pay: the above plus the amount, date and result of the transaction. Your card or account details go to Wompi, the payment gateway, and never pass through this site. For the electronic invoice we may ask for your ID number.

While you study: your progress, your submissions, your conversations with the tutor and the case you apply what you learn to.

Proof of your authorization: date, time, IP address, browser and the version of this policy you accepted, as required by article 9 of Colombian Law 1581 of 2012.

We do not ask for sensitive data. Please do not include sensitive data about yourself, or other people's data without their permission, in your submissions.

03 What we use it for

What we don't do: we don't sell or hand over databases, we don't write to people who didn't ask us to, and we never mix one student's data with another's. What you study and your case are seen only by you and your tutor.

  • Giving you access to what you request and supporting you on the campus while you study.
  • Letting the AI tutor review your submissions and reply to you.
  • Handling your payment, your invoice and our accounting and tax obligations.
  • Writing to you by email or WhatsApp about your courses and their reminders.
  • Letting you know about HIKI courses, programs and news, until you tell us to stop.
  • Knowing which campaign or invitation brought you. We only tell the person who invited you that their invitation counted; not your name, unless you allow it.
  • Answering your questions and complaints.

04 The artificial intelligence provider

The tutor runs on Claude models by Anthropic, PBC, a United States company. So the tutor can reply, Anthropic receives the text of your submissions and of your conversations with it. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use what we send through its API service to train its models.

HIKI does not build those models and cannot guarantee every answer they give. That is why every submission goes through your own review. The tutor proposes its review using the course rubric; if you disagree, write to [email protected] and a person will review it.

05 Who else sees it

To operate we use providers that process data on our behalf and under our instructions. None of them may use it for anything else.

  • Odoo: management system holding your contact, order, invoice and payment. Servers in Canada.
  • HIKI campus: the virtual classroom where you study. Our own server, hosted in the United States.
  • Cloudflare: delivers this site and receives the forms. United States.
  • Anthropic: the tutor's artificial intelligence provider. United States.
  • Wompi: Bancolombia's payment gateway. Receives the transaction and payment method data. Colombia.
  • Facturatech: issues and files the electronic invoice with the Colombian tax authority (DIAN). Colombia.
  • Resend: sends the campus emails. Brazil.
  • Meta: when you pay, we tell it a purchase happened, with its amount, and with your email and phone turned into an irreversible code. It is used to measure advertising. United States.

The United States and Canada have an adequate level of protection according to Colombia's Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (External Circular 005 of 2017). Sending emails through Brazil is a transmission to a processor under contract (articles 24 and 25 of Decree 1377 of 2013), with the authorization you give by accepting this policy.

06 How you authorize it and how you withdraw it

With a box you tick yourself and that is never pre-ticked. One authorization covers what is in this policy: your access, your payments, reminders and HIKI news.

You can withdraw it at any time by writing to [email protected] or by saying so on WhatsApp in your own words. From then on we stop sending you news. What the law requires us to keep, such as the invoice, stays.

07 Your rights

These are the rights in article 8 of Law 1581 of 2012. We answer a request within ten business days and a complaint within fifteen business days (articles 14 and 15). Before handing over any data we check that it is really you.

  • Know, update and correct your data.
  • Ask for proof of the authorization you gave.
  • Know how we have used it.
  • Withdraw your authorization and ask us to delete your data, when there is no legal duty to keep it.
  • File complaints with Colombia's Superintendence of Industry and Commerce, after making your request or complaint to us.
  • Access your data free of charge.

08 How long we keep it

  • Invoice, order, payment and accounting records: ten years (article 60 of the Colombian Commercial Code and article 28 of Law 962 of 2005).
  • Certificate of participation and the record behind it: ten years, so it can be verified.
  • Data of people who signed up and did not buy: up to two years after the last contact, or sooner if you ask.
  • Your campus account and activity: while you keep the account, or until you ask us to delete it.

09 Security and browsing

This site and the campus are encrypted and access to our systems is personal: whoever doesn't need a piece of data for their work can't see it. If an incident ever affected your data, we would report it to the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce and tell you.

hiki.com.co uses no advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare counts visits in aggregate and without cookies (Cloudflare Web Analytics). If you arrive from a campaign, your browser keeps where you came from during the visit so it reaches the form; it is cleared when you close the tab.
